BBC Backstage - why I love being British

Roberto Mateu, a chap from Venezuela, notes BBC Backstage.

This is superb, and echoing Aq, one of the reasons it’s great to be British. It seems very low key, at the moment, and I’m amazed I haven’t heard of it before. Basically, it’s the BBC giving access to their content and functionality, to enable people to go and do cool stuff with it. I suppose it’s the Creative Archive for hackers.

Particularly interesting are the two APIs they seem to be planning: one is for BBC Search and the other for postcodes.

It’s a good job we do have the BBC in the UK as, looking at Roberto’s pics, it’s clear Venezuela has a lot going for it too - look at that blue sea.
